My itinerary!

Fly out Sunday September 6th to Rome via Amsterdam...OMG is that really just 12 days away???

Rome - Monday 9/7 to Friday 9/11; then a flight to Sicily
Sicily ( staying in Sciacca and Siracusa) - Friday 9/11 to Tuesday 9/15; then a flight to Naples and train to Sorrento
Sorrento (with day visits to Naples and Pompeii) - Tuesday 9/15 to Saturday 9/19; then a train to Orvieto
Orvieto (southern Tuscany) - Saturday 9/19 to Sunday 9/20; pick up a car some meandering around the Tuscan hillside (all the way through to Bologna)
Tuscany (staying in Greve in Chianti) - Sunday 9/20 to Sunday 9/27
Cinque Terre (staying in Monterosso) - Sunday 9/27 to Friday 10/2; day trip to the fabulous Ristorante Manubiola in Parma
Alba (in the Piedmont region) - Friday 10/2 to Sunday 10/4; this weekend marks the start of the area's truffle festival (YUM!)
Mantova (Mantua) - Sunday 10/4 to Monday 10/5; yup, just here to eat, one fabulous evening at Dal Pescatore
Bologna - Monday 10/5 to Thursday 10/8; uh-huh, it's all about the eating in this city :); then a train to Venice
Venice - Thursday 10/8 to Sunday 10/11, then a flight to Paris
Paris - Sunday 10/11 to Sunday 10/18

Then maybe I'll come back :)
