I told the waiter here in Sciacca, Sicily to bring me whatever he thought I should eat tonight. He just brought out a plate of sardines marinated in lime and olive oil.
CRAP. I ate two-thirds of them, but it was molto difficult. Thank god for wine. :)
HA! It always sounds so romantic and adventurous to put our meals in someone else hands. Then this happens! Reminds me of getting pickled pigs feet during my first trip to Mexico when I was sixteen. Hey, it sounded exotic! It wasn't. It was just gross.
